The CelebMix Twitter Fandom Awards 2017 have just finished and our winners have been announced for everyone to see. But what are their prizes? A mini Q&A with us of course. And here’s our interview with The Tide’s fandom awards winner, The Tide Promo!
Q: When Did You Start The Tide Promo?
A: Early May 2015, not long after seeing The Tide for the first time.
Q: What made you want to start an update/fan account?
A: I’ve always updated for different bands and at the time I noticed The Tide didn’t have many update accounts or any updaters posting live pictures so I decided to for it for the boys.
Q: Is there any reason behind your @, if so, what is it?
A: No not really, it was the only @ I could think of at the time and when think about it all updaters are basically promoting the band, so yeah I guess maybe that’s why I came up with The Tide Promo.
Q: Have there been any significant events that have happened because of this account that you’d like to share?
A: A couple of things like Drew has personally mentioned my account in a recent interview which I was amazed about and a few other things.
Q: Do you have any advice for people wanting to start fandom/update account?
A: Always try to be update with things going on with the band, alasts be nice to other fandom members and do as much as you can to be current and update even if it means staying up all hours to post recent information, images, show news etc.
Q: What was your first reaction when you found out fans of your account had nominated you to win a CelebMix Twitter Fandom Award?
A: Quite suprised to be honest as I never think I deserve to be up for any awards.
Q: What does being an updater/fandom account owner mean to you?
A: It means a lot actually and it means a lot to know I have the support of the boys and their families.
Q: Do you have anything to say to the people who nominated and voted for you?
A: Thank you so much, it means a lot to know people love my account enough to nominate and vote for me in the awards.
