Tucker Carlson: If feminists had absolute power, every man would be Chris Hayes

I’m sure our international readers won’t care about this, but I love Chris Hayes, the baby-faced geeky heartthrob who has the 8 pm MSNBC news block. Hayes has a background in political work and community organizing. He’s married to a lawyer and they have three young children. He understands, on a deep level, that there are things he cannot speak to as a white dude, and he often brings in white women, women of color, and people from marginalized communities and gives them a platform to speak and answer his well-meaning questions. I’ve never said Hayes is perfect – he’s always given far too much air time to Bernie Sanders – but he’s a good guy and a good news person and I believe in him. Basically, he’s the complete opposite of Tucker Carlson. Tucker is a douchebag misogynist who hates women, poor people, minorities, immigrants and more. He is the white bread face of white supremacy and even neo-Nazis endorse his Fox News show. Well, Tucker has some thoughts about Chris Hayes. Garbage thoughts.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson began his highly rated primetime show Monday night by taking potshots at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and MSNBC host Chris Hayes, labeling the progressive lawmaker a “moron” while mocking his cable news competitor’s masculinity.

Last week, Hayes hosted an MSNBC town hall event on the proposed Green New Deal, featuring Ocasio-Cortez. During the Friday night town hall, Ocasio-Cortez lectured an audience member who called former Rep. Bob Inglis (R-SC) a “moron” for saying the Green New Deal is “literally impossible,” exclaiming “that’s unacceptable” while pointing her finger at the offender.

Carlson, meanwhile, had no problems throwing out insults Monday evening during Tucker Carlson Tonight.

“Chris Hayes is what every man would be if feminists ever achieved absolute power in this country: apologetic, bespectacled, and deeply, deeply concerned about global warming and the patriarchal systems that cause it,” Carlson said of the All In host.

Carlson then verbally abused AOC for a while, calling her “a moron and nasty and more self-righteous than any televangelist who ever preached a sermon on cable access. She’s not impressive, she’s awful.” Because he’s self-aware. As for this whole idea that “real men” should be appalled by Chris Hayes’ humanity, his interest in speaking to women as equals, his interest in the environment and progressive politics… well, if Tucker Carlson is what “real men” are, I want no part of any of that. Give me men like Chris Hayes every day.
